Vacuum Seal Ziploc Bags

We all know of the evils of freezer burns and we all wish we had those hundred dollar gadgets that sucks all the air out of bags before we put them in the freezer; but for most of us it's either too expensive or we don't have enough kitchen space for another appliance.

I just saw the Ziploc® Brand Vacuum Freezer System at Wal-Mart last week and I bought one for about $10. The starter set includes the vacuum bags and a simple, battery-free, air removal pump. The Ziploc® Brand Vacuum Bags have a special one-way valve which allows air in the bag to be removed. It’s great for freezing steak, hamburger, chicken and more.
