The Perfect Birthday Party

Is there such a thing as a birthday party? I don't know, but we can certainly try, couldn't we? As I mentioned in the previous post, a birthday cake is essential and from there you can go as fancy or as simple as you want to be.

Spring will be here again before we know it and for us spring usually means birthdays. My two oldest daughters have their 16th and 17th birthdays coming up and they are already contemplating the celebration they will have with their friends. We don't usually have huge birthday parties, we try to keep celebrations intimate. But what if there were no limits? How extravagant or how fancy can we get?

For starters, celebrations.com is a great place to start for party ideas and tips on how to start planning your party. If you're stuck, there is also an interactive community you can tap for solutions and resources. If your on a tight budget, there are ways to throw a fun party without having to spend a lot. Tips like that are all available at celebrations.com. Another feature on the website is the customizable invitation. A good party always starts with a good invite. You can use their designs and images but you can also use your own images for a fully customized feel. Feel like throwing a themed party? Check celebrations.com for ideas like a Paris themed party, a cooking party, or a movie party like my daughters are planning for their birthdays this year.

We haven't decided yet all the details for the movie party, but I'm sure lots of popcorn will be involved.
