Rambutan

rambutanRambutan is exquisitely exotic, it's one of my favorite fruits when I can get it. So I was highly amused when I read this post from the blog Bad Fortune Cookie. Nowadays when I think of rambutan, I can't help but think of my good friend the baby rambutan, who is a terrific baker. But that's beside the point :)

Tell me, have you ever had a taste of these spiky morsels?

JMom, you are making me salivate! I love Rambutan! The only kind that I can buy here is the browned fruit though the inside is still yummy! :)

heehee JMom, mukhang malapit na mag buh-bye yung rambutan na binili niya.. i'm surprised it was still juicy inside.
it does look scary and sea-urchin-creature-like, like that.
thanks for pointing out the way to other foodies in this big wide blogworld.

    Hello JMom! *kaway kaway*

spiky like tita Stel he he *waves at tita Stel*

though hindi ko sya paborito na fruit (mangosteen at mango babe ako eh) I also like its taste, lalo na kung hinog sa puno.

that is one of my fave fruits wag lang overripe. Madalas me itim na langgam yung mga nabibili ko nun sa sidewalk (like lanzones na hinog). Even my kids love that. Miss ko na!

Hi noemi, me too, the flavor is much more delicate than lychee.

hi Rosyreds, it's the same over here. By the time I see them at the oriental market they are usually past their prime. Not worth the huge sums they usually charge.
