I learned of this book, I loved, I lost, I cooked spaghetti, by Giulia Melucci from the Joy of Desserts' giveaway for the book. Seeing the author in this video makes me want to read the book even more! She's very witty and that spaghetti she was making just looks delicious! I loved hearing about how the book came about and the process she took to write it.

My girls learned to love Saturday Night Live during the presidential campaigns last year. You have to admit, the SNL shows during that time were outstanding, thanks to the great source of material. So we were a bit disappointed to learn that one of the show's main stars, Amy Poehler, was leaving. Now I know where she went to.



Amy Poehler is the host of Smart Girls at the Party which features young, talented girls who aren't afraid to be themselves. Smart Girls at the Party is a featured channel on CozmoTV which aims to deliver better television content.

CozmoTV is the next phase of online video viewing. While YouTube got into all kinds of copyright hotwater, CozmoTV allows the owners of copyrights to track viewership and enables them to still make money from their property. At the same time, when you show their widget on your website and your viewers watch their content, you get a chance to earn money by becoming an affiliate! It's a win win situation, don't you think? More and more channels are being added to the site everyday, so no matter what your target audience is, you will soon be able to provide them with quality TV content. My girls only recently developed for the 'Filipino Spaghetti'. This style is sweeter than the Italian/American style spaghetti we all know. The other ingredient that makes it uniquely Pinoy is the addition of hot hogs. But the kicker secret ingredient has got to be the huge amount of banana sauce used in the recipe demonstrated below! My version differs from the video below in that I didn't use red hot dogs although they certainly can be found here in the South and I didn't use banana sauce, I used regular ketchup.

I just love Paula Dean and this clip of her and her friend Kim making brunch is just hilarious but also informational. The informational part, is how she cooks cheese grits. If you've ever wondered how to make cheese grits that aren't gummy, you gotta watch this video. Paula says that the secret to making the perfect cheese grits is "to keep them sturred" lol! Y'all, I really, I love her Southern accent. This is not a dis :P

The video is actually on how to make Krispy Kreme burgers so I didn't really see how the grits eventually turned out. It looked really creamy though like everything Paula Dean makes, it was a little scary watching how much butter, eggs and cheese were going into that concoction! As for the burgers, well you just gotta watch the video and see. Would you eat one?

The term 'soccer mom' has come to represent a lot of mini van driving moms who cart them their kids from one extra curricular activity to another. Whether it's dance, sports, theater or music, the support moms give their kids: driving them to and from events, providing costumes and sports equipment, watching games and practices qualifies them all to be soccer moms. In turn, there are varying degrees to soccer moms. Some are fanatically involved in their kid's activities and performance and some are content to drive their kids to the venues and see them have fun.

I think this show would be quite entertaining for adults and kids alike. I for one would love to be Mrs. Arty Choke. A pretty flower that is a little plump and bottom heavy with a pleasant personality. So long as you don't make her mad because deep inside she has an arsenal of meanness that can choke you. :)
