My day usually starts with a cup of coffee and while breakfast is usually reserved for weekends, oatmeal and eggs are regulars on the menu. The greens like kale, spinach and beets are returnees in our garden, so we have them almost every week at their summer peak. The same thing goes with squash. In our garden, we have more than just butternut squash, we also have acorn, zucchini and summer squash. And yeah, when you get it from your backyard, your cost goes down even more.
